Happy Birthday Ralph
Today is our brother in law, Ralph's birthday. We wish we could take him out for cake and ice cream; out of everyone Ralph loves desserrt even more than me! We're glad he's a part of our family, just sad we don't live closer because that makes celebrating, honoring him, and getting to know him better much harder! Anyways, we want him to know how much he is loved. Were SO happy to have him part of the Ball Branch and we're grateful that our B has such a great husband. He's a hard worker and a great leader. Another year older and wiser! Happy Birthday Ralph!!!

Ohio Exotic Animal Tragedy
The local deputies shot and killed 48 of the animals, including 18 rare Bengal tigers, 17 lions, six black bears, two grizzly bears, a baboon, a wolf and three mountain lions. Six of the released animals - three leopards, a bear and two monkeys - were captured and taken to the Columbus Zoo.
No one is sure why Thompson freed these 56 animals and then committed suicide. What followed was basically a big-game hunt in the Ohio countryside as police officers shot and killed them for fear they would harm humans. A 49th animal was killed by one of the big cats. The remaining animals were captured and taken to the Columbus Zoo.
Eastern Ohio has been criticized by some who say the animals should have been saved. The officers were ordered to kill the animals instead of trying to bring them down with tranquilizers for fear that those hit with darts would escape in the darkness before they dropped and would later regain consciousness.

Rooga....
Today Regan aka Rooga turned 18 years old! It's crazy to think that she's legally an adult, because to me she'll always be my baby sister. Currently Roog is attending Marinello School of Beauty in Provo. She's got Landon, Juji & Nicholas near by, but she's such a social butterfly that she rarely sees her family. Regan's probably the most gifted/talented person I know, she can move and dance like nobodys business. Along with her busy 8-5 school schedule she's also keeping up with her dance at Center Stage, the amazing dance studio that has catered to people like Julianne & Derek Hough and other famous dance pros. Happy 18th Birthday my Rooga Bam Boo! Here's my shout to Regan: Have a wonderful day and a wonderful year! Remember who you are, if you don't decide and know who are you and what you stand for then you'll fall for anything. Don't be like a sheep, be who 'EWE' are and be all you can be! Love your guts sissy! Here she is at her new school and the last photo is when they did an Avant Guard Competition....they totally kicked butt and won!

Off the Market
Happy to report that my little brother Landon is officially off the market; sorry girls he's now spoken for :( He asked his girlfriend Lauren to be his bride in the amazing landscape that Timpanoges has to offer. It was a beautiful scene for these two beautiful people. Our 'Ball Branch' couldn't be happier that Lauren's going to be a part of our family. They're scheduled to become 'one' December 30 of this year in Newport Beach at their LDS temple. Landon was so excited, when he picked up her ring he was texting us pictures showing us where he was going to ask her. He's all grown up. Good thing he grew up in a family with 5 sisters, because he's definitely not short of emotion or sensitivity :) Here's some pictures of their special day.
Congrats to Landon & Lauren! Wish you two a lifetime of happiness and love!Posted by Rice-Ball at 11:17 PM 0 comments

The Greatest Speech~Charlie Chaplin
I borrowed this from a friend on Facebook. It really moved me to say the least. I just had to share it. It's crazy and almost scary how relevant a speech made by Charlie Chaplin back almost 70 years ago is today.
